2026 CIF Southern Section Dual Finals Are Set

The stage is set for the 34th edition of the CIF Southern Section Dual Meet Championships, a tradition that began in 1992 when the event debuted in four divisions. That inaugural year saw Indio High claim the Division 4A crown, Ventura High win Division 3A, Temecula Valley capture Division 2A, and Yucca Valley take home the Division 1A title.

Three decades later, the Southern Section’s best wrestling programs will battle once again, with six divisional titles on the line.

Division I

Esperanza High enters as the reigning Division II champions and now looks to climb to the top of Division I while capturing back-to-back dual-meet titles in school history. Standing in their way is perennial powerhouse St. John Bosco, which is chasing its 10th overall CIF-SS dual-meet championship and a fourth straight Division I crown.

Division II

Victor Valley High is in pursuit of its fifth all-time dual-meet title, but Temecula Valley looms large as a historic giant in Southern Section wrestling. The Golden Bears won the very first dual-meet championship in 1992 and are now seeking their remarkable 18th overall title. Their dynasty stretches across eras, including two dominant runs from 1995–1999 and 2004–2008.

Division III

El Dorado High is aiming for a breakthrough — the program’s first-ever CIF-SS dual-meet championship. South Torrance, however, brings a championship pedigree, having won five previous titles and reaching the finals in six of the last eight years they have competed.

Division IV

Corona High is chasing history with its first-ever CIF-SS dual-meet championship appearance. Downey High, a four-time champion, is looking to add a fifth banner to its legacy.

Division V

Bishop Amat enters as a three-time champion and hopes to secure title No. 4. El Modena High will look to recapture glory, seeking its second CIF-SS dual crown after winning its first in 1994.

Division VI

This division guarantees a new champion. Both Redondo High and Heritage High are vying for their program’s first-ever CIF-SS dual-meet title.
