Idaho Girls Continue Their Rise on the National Stage.

Idaho girls wrestling has firmly established itself as one of the nation’s fastest-rising states, and the latest national rankings provide further proof. In the High School on SI Prep Girls Rankings, released July 1 by wrestling analyst Billy Buckheit, nine Idaho athletes earned national recognition. The impressive group includes five nationally ranked wrestlers and four honorable mention selections, reflecting not only the state’s elite individual talent but also the remarkable growth, increasing depth, and bright future of girls wrestling across the Gem State.

Leading the way is Idaho’s impressive contingent in the highly competitive 135-pound weight class, where three wrestlers earned national rankings. Keanna Conrad of Blackfoot enters the season ranked No. 8 after winning three consecutive Idaho state championships and establishing herself among the nation’s elite competitors. Bellevue University commit Shelby Garten of Timberlake is ranked No. 11 after following a state runner-up finish with her first state championship, while Olivia Bezdecik of Jerome is ranked No. 12 after capturing three straight Idaho state titles and earning All-American honors. Entering the 2026-27 season, Bezdecik has an opportunity to become a four-time Idaho state champion.

Idaho placed three additional wrestlers in the national rankings. Ali Svancara of Buhl is ranked No. 14 at 110 pounds after placing at the state tournament in each of her first three seasons while also earning All-American honors. Kinzie Williams of American Falls is ranked No. 17 at 115 pounds, continuing a steady progression from third place to runner-up before claiming her first state championship. At 170 pounds, Molly Olague of Skyline is ranked No. 29 after reaching the state finals twice and earning All-American recognition.

Four more Idaho standouts received Honorable Mention recognition. Taylor Drake of Kuna (105 pounds) has steadily climbed the state podium, improving from sixth place to third before winning her first state championship. Talea Nichols of Rocky Mountain (120 pounds), an All-American, concluded her high school career with a state championship and three state medals. She will continue her mat and academic career this fall at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. Charlee Noah of Tri-Valley (130 pounds), who will be a junior during the 2026-27 season, has already reached two state finals, finishing runner-up before capturing her first state title.

The national recognition reflects the remarkable rise of girls wrestling in Idaho. With returning state champions, nationally ranked athletes, and a growing pipeline of emerging talent, the Gem State continues to establish itself as one of the nation’s fastest-rising girls wrestling states. As the 2026-27 season approaches, these athletes are poised not only to add to their Idaho state championship résumés but also to make a significant impact on the national stage.
