After a grueling Day 1 of the 2026 Girls CIF State Wrestling Championships, the dust has settled on two rounds of championship action, and we are witnessing a heavyweight battle for California supremacy. Forget “close,” this is a dogfight.

Poway (SD) is currently perched at the top of the mountain with 45.4 points, but the Titans are hearing the footsteps of Buchanan (CS), who are trailing by less than a single pin! Both programs have marched six hammers into the quarterfinals, setting up a Friday morning that will determine the fate of the team title.

Quarterfinals are set to begin at 9 AM tomorrow.
